Soprano Titanium is the next-generation of laser hair removal. It’s an effective and permanent hair reduction solution that is simple and easy. It takes cutting-edge medical laser technology and combines it with the comfort and convenience of a
trip to the spa. In fact, Soprano Titanium uses new breakthrough technology that has been described as one of the most comfortable laser hair removal options available.  If you’ve had laser hair removal elsewhere and thought it was too uncomfortable, come and experience the difference!

How Does it Work?

The Soprano Titanium Laser hair removal method is unlike any other laser hair removal treatment. Featuring its exclusive 3D technology, Soprano Titanium combines the three most effective laser wavelengths into a single applicator, simultaneously targeting different tissue depths and anatomical structures within the hair follicle.

  • The Alexandrite 755nm - This wavelength is used to target an extensive range of hair colours and types, including thin hair and hair that is light in colour, and can even address embedded hair.

  • The SPEED 810nm - This wavelength is used for darker skin types, and targets the deep hair follicle. It has a moderate tissue penetration depth to treat areas like the arms, legs, cheeks, and chin.

  • YAG 1064 - The YAG 1064 - is the most penetrative wavelength, and is ideal for treating embedded hairs, like those that can occur in the armpits and pubic area, and targets the deepest parts of the follicle for the most effective laser hair removal treatment possible.

By combining the absorption and penetration levels of different wavelengths, along with extended treatment coverage, increased comfort and low maintenance requirements, Soprano Titanium is the safest and most efficient hair removal treatment available today.

The Procedure

The hair removal procedure itself is very straightforward. You will lie on a treatment bed and make yourself comfortable. As a safety measure, you’ll be asked to wear some protective eyewear, which the practitioner will also wear.

A thin layer of transparent, cold gel (similar to that used in ultra sound) is applied to the area so that the laser is able to move over the area with ease. The laser practitioner will then run the laser head in a sweeping motion over the area 6 to 12 times like a paint brush. It fires tiny bursts of energy 10 times a second, slowly and gently heating the hair follicles. You will feel the area warming slightly but at the same time the patented DualChill treatment tip keeps your skin cool and comfortable.

Depending on which part of your body is being treated, the skin may go slightly red. Treatment times vary depending on the person and the area being treated. It can be as quick as ten minutes, depending on what treatment you’re having.

Most patients experience a comfortable warming sensation during treatment, similar to receiving a hot stone massage. The Soprano Titanium Laser hair removal may become mildly uncomfortable in sensitive areas.

Frequently Asked Questions

How is the Soprano Titanium different to other lasers?

The Soprano Titanium is the latest in laser hair removal technology as it combines the three most effective laser wavelengths into a single applicator. This means that the laser will damage the hair at three different depths of the follicle simultaneously.

The Soprano Titanium also has an incredible Quattro handpiece. This is the largest applicator head than other device, meaning the time it takes to treat a patient is reduced by up to 40%. Treatment is also virtually pain-free due to the revolutionary ICE PLUS system, which cools the skin while the device disrupts the follicles. This machine, unlike many other laser hair removal options, can be used all year round on all skin types, from 1-6, and can even be safely and effectively employed to remove hair on tanned skin.

What results can I expect with Soprano Titanium Laser Hair Removal?

The result: A 50 to 80% (or better) reduction in unwanted hair. Hair is natural to your body and it grows in stages. At any given time, not all hairs are growing and lasers are most effective at targeting the growing hairs. In practice, no laser destroys all of the hair follicles. Some follicles are destroyed, while others are reduced to fine hairs or shocked into prolonged dormancy. Multiple treatments provide the best results.

How many sessions will I need?

We usually advise that 6 to 8 treatment sessions are needed to provide a permanent reduction of hair growth. This is because at any given time some of the follicles in the treatment area won’t be in the growth phase. We spread our treatments out to make sure that hair that it’s treated in one session is affected in the next. Facial hair tends to be more stubborn and may need ten to twelve treatment sessions or occasionally more in very resistant cases. The gap between sessions is usually 4-6 weeks for facial areas and 6-8 weeks for body areas. The number of hair removal sessions depends on various factors, including where the hair is, how thick it is and also your particular skin type and hair colour. For the best results we recommend that you complete the full course of treatment sessions. Our laser practitioners can answer all your questions and offer support. If at any time you want to discuss any part of the hair removal programme, please give us a call at any time of the day.

Will the hair fall out straight away?

The Soprano Titanium laser destroys hair simultaneously at different depths within the hair follicle, but it does not always fall out right away, in fact, treated hair can be slow to expel. You can usually encourage this with gentle exfoliation. The hair will shed naturally in 2 – 3 weeks post treatment.

Which skin types are suitable?
The Soprano Titanium is the only FDA approved laser on the market that can be used on ALL skin types, including tanned skin.

Is there any downtime?

There is no downtime associated with the Soprano Titanium, and the treatment is entirely pain-free due to the cooling technology used within the device.

How do I remove hair in between treatments?
Shaving is the preferred method of removing hairs before and in between the treatments. You must refrain from waxing or plucking the hairs as these methods will remove hairs at their root level, causing the active hairs not to be present for the laser to act on them, making the treatment ineffective.

How do I prepare my skin for the treatment?
The area to be treated must be shaved prior to coming to the Clinic, between 12–24 hours before the treatment. The skin must be clean from creams, perfume and fake tanning products. Avoid tanning or prolonged UV exposure on the area to be treated for at least 48 hours prior to treatment (includes sunbeds).

Aftercare instructions

Normally the skin will feel slightly warm and red after the treatment, but this normally disappears within minutes or a few hours. Follow these post care tips to ensure maximum comfort after your treatment.

  • Avoid sun exposure
You must not expose the treated skin to UV or self-tan (sun beds) for at least 4 weeks before or after treatment. If your skin gets a tan (active tan) then you are at greater risk of developing hyper pigmentation or getting a burn.

  • Use a soothing gel
You must protect your skin from the sun – if it’s an area that is exposed like your face/arms/neck then make sure you use a high SPF cream every day to avoid getting a tan (around SPF 30 and above). Simple soothing products like Aloe Vera gel can be used if your skin is feeling slightly sore. The gel will help to calm down any redness you may experience from the laser.

  • Avoid harsh chemicals
This means no bleach or perfumed products such as aromatherapy oils for at least 24 – 48 hours on the area treated. Also avoid swimming in chlorinated water for 48 -72 hours.

  • Do not wax, thread or pluck the area treated
You may shave or in between treatments. It is advisable to leave the area alone for 24 – 48 hours after your treatment to avoid any skin irritation.

  • Avoid a hot bath/shower
If you have had laser hair removal done on your body then it is best to avoid having a hot bath or shower (sauna/steam) for 24 -48 hours as it can cause skin irritation especially if you have sensitive skin.

  • Avoid exfoliating
If you have had laser hair removal on your face then you must avoid having harsh treatments done such as chemical peels, microdermabrasion for at least 14 days before or after treatment.

  • Talk to your practitioner
If you are in any doubt at all, just contact one of our practitioners for advice and if you are very concerned arrange an appointment so they can assess your skin. Your safety and comfort is our top priority so our practitioners are available at any time of the day to make sure everything is well.

I had my 2nd appointment today. From my initial appointment 4 weeks ago to today has shown a huge improvement; instead of shaving most days, easily I can go 5 days. The hair growth is slower and the shadowing is disappearing. Looking forward seeing the difference over the next 4 weeks following this appointment. I would highly recommend laser hair removal to anyone 😀
